The value of spreading ideas

Ideas worth spreading vs the value of spreading ideas.

Spreading ideas is all about generosity, and generosity means sacrifice.

Imagine what would have happened if Jesus and his disciples had decided to keep the loaves of bread and a couple of fishes to themselves and feed their inner circle — a dissatisfied crowd. Instead, they used the powers instilled in them to multiply the food and feed the masses. The result was a cultural impact.

All innovations start with a great idea. On the other hand, humans are also known for hoarding ideas because scarcity fixates us. What will be left for me if I give my valuables to you?

But in fact, a mindset of sharing to enrich and enhance myself is much more powerful.

Successful entrepreneurs will tell you that their success is not due to a great idea but rather the hours they burn and the communities they inspire. Proprietary technologies and interfaces are seldom adapted.

There is no power in a hidden idea.

Bottom line: By sharing what’s on the table, you are not giving away your livelihood but creating the opportunity for others to assist you in excelling. You are establishing your authority and building trust.
